Hat Lab changes in Vero2
Vero2 retains the existing Hat Lab workflow and adds appearance controls. Start with the Hat Lab setup guide, then use this page for Vero2 styling differences.
Configure the existing workflow
Keep your product groups, design sources, personalization fields, and product templates aligned with your Hat Lab configuration. Styling controls do not create designs, change fees, or assign products to templates.
Preview the full flow using a product with the required fields and charges, including the back/previous navigation between steps.
Apply Vero2 appearance controls
The Hat Lab section provides additional opt-in styling controls. Review its product/details surfaces, borders, colors, and corner radii with your store's palette. Configure pagination using the sizing controls described in Buttons and interaction effects.
Hat Lab's product-details panel has its own treatment. Its normal input blocks retain their component styling; do not expect the panel appearance to override every field.
Style fields in the product template
Open the relevant product template and configure the personalization blocks under Buy buttons. Custom selects honor their Border radius and Enable focus glow controls. Uploads, swatches, labels, and other fields follow their normal component settings. Radio-style custom selects use the variant-button styling path in Vero2 2.0.0.
Test an order
Select a product and design, fill required fields, upload artwork when applicable, and add to cart. Check the original artwork and selected design, line item properties, minimum quantities, and linked fees. Test a second configuration of the same product to ensure its selections stay attached to the correct cart line.
For standalone patches, use the separate Guided Patch Builder. Artwork selected there does not automatically inherit a previous Hat Lab design.
