Vero2 is included at no additional cost for new and existing customers, under the same Vero purchase and licensing rules. It is the default and recommended version for new purchases.

Vero and Vero2 share the same major features. Both continue receiving support and important fixes, so you can keep using the features you already love. Vero 1 remains available on request for compatibility needs.
Thinking about upgrading?
Vero2 is a new theme version. Moving from Vero requires manually rebuilding your theme configuration and layouts in the Shopify theme editor; existing settings and customizations do not automatically transfer. Upgrading is optional. We recommend Vero2 for new stores or a planned redesign.

Why the rename?
Another theme named Maker has been on Shopify since
2016; it was not in the theme store when we chose our name. When it returned to the store, we renamed our theme to Vero to avoid confusion between the two.
Why Vero?
The name Vero comes from Latin, meaning "true" or authentic. It reflects the philosophy behind the theme: delivering a powerful, well-structured foundation for modern Shopify stores. Vero focuses on clarity, flexibility, and performance, giving businesses the tools they need to build with confidence, whether
they're just starting out or scaling up.
Vero is a performance-focused Shopify theme built specifically for makers, engravers, small product-based businesses and beyond that need flexibility without the usual theme bloat.
Advanced features such as Hat Lab and Live Preview need initial configuration. You can set them up yourself using the Vero2 documentation, or choose one of the setup packages below. Every option includes the theme and its available features; paid setup covers initial feature configuration within the listed package scope. Custom design work is not included. If you are having us build your site, the theme is included with our new site builds.

Every option includes the theme and its available features. With self-installation, you configure everything yourself using the documentation. Paid setup covers initial feature configuration, rather than ongoing product or catalog setup. Custom design work is not included.
One alignment means setting the default preview position for one product. Additional alignments, specialized positioning, alternate image-specific placements, and extensive custom configuration are outside the included setup.
You can configure more products yourself using the theme’s settings and metafields, or purchase additional setup separately. These limits apply to our setup services, not the theme’s features.
