Design selection and conditional options

Use product design choices, gallery artwork, and conditional fields together without carrying one product's configuration into another. These improvements are included in Vero 1.8.3 and Vero2 2.0.1 beta.

Set up each product's choices

Add your design selector and personalization fields inside the intended product template. Configure their line item property keys, design sources, required fields, and fees using the Design Gallery setup guide and Custom Option Fees.

Product pickers remember choices for the current product and picker block. A remembered choice on one product should not fill a different product's picker. Gallery and Hat Lab transfers use their chosen destination; they are not a store-wide selection that automatically applies to every product page.

After changing a template or adding another picker, preview each product and confirm the intended selector receives the artwork. A standalone Vero2 Patch Builder uses artwork chosen in its own product-page flow.

Show fields after a matching choice

  1. Enable Show based on another property on the field you want to control.
  2. Set Controlling property key to the source field's line item property key.
  3. Choose Has any value, Is any of, or Is not any of, then enter matching values where required.
  4. Keep the controlling field and dependent field in the same product form.

Matching ignores case and surrounding spaces. Multiselects are compared by individual checked values. An unchecked checkbox is not a selected value. Hidden or disabled inputs do not supply an active controlling choice.

Use Conditional patch designers for the patch-specific setup and artwork behavior. Other dependent fields can clear their values when hidden; test those fields separately rather than assuming they retain a previous upload or selection.

Fees and minimum quantities

Fee and minimum-quantity maps support entries on separate lines as well as supported separators. Use exact option names and the format shown in each field's help text, for example Gold|gold-finish-fee|per-item for a fee-product mapping or Gold|12 for an option minimum. Each mapping must point to a valid choice and, for charges, an available fee product.

When a choice becomes inactive, confirm its fee and minimum no longer affect the order. See Minimum Quantity Setup and Custom Option Fees for the full configuration.

Check a complete customer journey

Select a design, fill dependent fields, and add the product to cart. Repeat with another design and then another product. Test returning to the first product, clearing its design, and toggling a controlling checkbox off. Confirm every cart line has only its own active properties, artwork, quantity requirements, and fees.
