Ten clear steps
Step 01
We begin with a conversation about what you sell, who your customers are, how your business currently operates, and what you want the website to accomplish. We also look at where you are spending too much time, where customers may be getting stuck, and where better systems could make the business easier to manage.
Step 02
Next, we gather the details needed to understand the project fully. Depending on the project, this may include a guided questionnaire, additional conversations, reviewing your current website, or researching your market and competitors. We use that information to determine the right structure, features, and overall direction.
Step 03
Once we understand what the project requires, we prepare a clear proposal outlining the recommended scope, pricing, and deliverables. After approval and the initial deposit, you will be onboarded into our client portal, where project communication, files, feedback, and updates stay organized in one place.
Step 04
We will either connect to your existing Shopify store or create a development store for the new build. This is also when we collect the materials needed for the project, including branding, product information, photography, written content, policies, and any other important assets.
Having complete, approved content ready keeps the project moving smoothly. If an important asset arrives later than planned, we will communicate any schedule impact clearly.
Step 05
Before building the complete website, we establish the visual direction. You will receive one or more design concepts showing how the site could look and feel. This gives you a chance to review the direction, leave feedback, and make decisions before the full build moves forward.
The direction starts with your business, customers, and goals. It is never a generic template with a different logo applied.
Step 06
After the visual direction is approved, we build the full website in Shopify. This includes the remaining pages, navigation, product and collection structure, responsive behavior, and any custom functionality included in the project.
Step 07
Once the core website is built, we configure the systems behind it. This may include shipping, taxes, payments, domains, notifications, policies, analytics, and any approved applications or integrations.
We configure the store using the information you provide. Final legal, tax, and accounting decisions remain your responsibility.
Step 08
Before launch, we carefully review the website across desktop and mobile devices. We test navigation, forms, products, purchasing flows, interactive features, and other important functionality to catch problems before customers ever see them.
Step 09
We will meet to walk through the completed website, review how everything works, and cover the parts of the store you will manage regularly. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and request any final adjustments included within the project scope.
Step 10
Once everything is approved, we connect the final domain and launch the website. We remain available during the agreed post-launch support period to address issues, answer questions, and make sure the transition goes smoothly.
